THE SALARY



Economic growth in Indonesia has been increasing fast as the time go by. It is proven by many companies, which appear and exist everywhere. from the high scale levels such as state’s companies, private companies to the law scale ones such as home Industry. Above all, all the companies own common structural rules, which are attached for all peoples in those companies. From executive position as the highest level to employee position as the lowest level, as well as in common rules of payment wage. Each enterprise give more salary for who are in highest position.

As matter of fact, there are many employees in lowest position claimed that it is not fair for the executive fit to earn more salary than they are. There for, they made any strike to make their dream comes real. In addition, it is fit for employees to get what the executive get for their hard work and loyalties to the company. In spite of that, many people in Indonesia argued that it is fair for the executive to earn far more money than the lowest level employee based on several arguments.

First condition, the executives have harder work than the employees do. They not only work by their power but also they have to utilize their brain hard to finish the company’s businesses. It is very hard and exhausting for them. because in the same time they have to devote their thought and time to do best and to be the best. Moreover, they have to bring their work at home and release their rest of time for the sake of the company progress and prosperity. Because their work sometimes cannot be finished in the company. Whereas a home is place for taking a rest and having good time with family, after all daylong work. Unlike the executive, the employees only work with their muscles. They do not need to devote their thought entirely to finish work. Because they work qualitically is easy and light in weight. Even though what employees done is also tiring and exhausting, but at least they can take rest much in the home. Because their work is always, be done and finish punctually in factory.

Second condition, the executives also have great responsibility, whether to the entire company and responsibility to the employees. to the company, an this responsibility will take great risk if they do not do it professionally and even bankruptcy the company will face. In entire company they are responsible in handling general policies to decide appropriate wisdoms in increasing company progress. Supporting the development of company there are some examples of general policies. Just like rising network. The executive as the decision makers have to be very selective in determine who will be their partner. Beside that, they have to maintain their good intercourse. Because this good intercourse will ease the company access to be developed. Not only in this way, the executives also have responsibility in advertising matter. They have to be really innovative in selecting and deciding of good word to be published and also in searching for advertising place which conducive and strategy to promote and demonstrate the product and even the company enterprise. In addition, they also must have good strategic in order not lose in competition business against the other companies.

Beside responsibility to the entire company, they also responsible to the employees prosperity, the executive should provide the salary for the employee’s right and have to pay them in time, otherwise they will quit working and this risk will inhibit production mobility. And if it happens, the company will take the burden great deal of damages. While the employees do not have any entire responsibility in developing and maintaining company progress where they work. They employees just work and finish their work and the end they get their salary without thinking of company fate.

Third condition, in several private company which is ruled by certain peoples, it is not taboo, if they give more salary to the executive who has achievement in the company advances. This is exactly normal. Because company do that to appreciate them. The same thing could be done to the employees. The owners of the company can also give more salary to the employees who have best job result than their usual salary.

The lastly, it is difficult to apply and to be accepted in the executive occupation. First, they must have high education background. Nowadays the common measure of lowest education background in all companies is BA degree’s graduation. In common public assumption, graduation of BA degree have had enough skills to work in a company. Nevertheless, it is a quite hard to deserve BA degree, people have to spend their much money and utilize their long time hard. Secondly, they must have many experiences of working at least in the company where they live in before. Experience is one of requirements for apply the executive position in certain company. Because company cannot take the worst risk by recruit, wrong people in joining in that company. The third, People must have certain skills, such as vision, meaning that they can se the opportunity while the other peoples simply cannot. Beside that, people must to be innovative enough, meaning that in certain condition or situation, they is claimed to be able to release idea or creation that is interestingness and different. but on the contrary labor, whoever can apply for to become labor, so long as he/she will work, having work spirit and not lazy. Simplicity, there is no clauses which difficult to apply for to become labor, including education background. Graduate of senior high school and junior high school can apply for job as labor. Having working experience or do not have is not so reckoned. Nevertheless, it does not mean that any people can be accepted to be labor. Because to become labor also have to have skill as according to type of effort at the company is applied for. But however it is not really hard is compared to what the executive’s applier do.

To conclude, far more salary is exactly proper to be earned by the executive. It is dealt with their hard exertion in reaching out the executive of occupation and their effort in implementing their responsibility to the company and to the employee’s prosperity.
